Annual General Meeting, November 2024

Our AGM was very well attended with 79 members present, despite the suspension of all bus services via Finsbury Park. Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us for the evening.

Much of the meeting was given over to guest speaker Simon Farrow, Head of Parks & Leisure for Haringey Council, so that members could hear first hand the council’s plans for the lido as well as challenge the council directly on progress to date.

The minutes of the meeting (see link below) record all of the main points made by Simon Farrow and by the 15 members who asked  questions.

In addition, the committee explained how it is continuing to work to improve the lido now that the council is directly in control of the centre. Our priorities for the year ahead were agreed:

• Opening hours and booking capacity

• Cleanliness and maintenance

• Communication from the centre

• Pool cover

• Lifeguard shelters

• Lighting to extend opening beyond daylight hours
